Comments: | The paper used here has the same design printed on both sides with a glossy surface. The lovely kimono patterns contain many traditional motifs in muted colors. Although this paper produces a very attractive octagonal box, double-sided paper with a complementary or contrasting design on the reverse side would be even more effective. The folding and joining of units for octagonal boxes is complex. The octagon base is especially difficult. Of all the modular origami boxes featured on this site, the octagons are probably the most challenging to create. |
