Comments: | These swan boxes are very easy to make and yet so beautiful and elegant -- especially if you choose washi chiyogami paper with a lovely traditional print, as shown here. The designer has included a locking feature which prevents the wings from separating down the middle of the model when candies or other small treats are loaded into the two wing compartments. The video tutorial referenced above is very helpful. After you have mastered the basic folds, you can experiment a little with the length and angle of the neck and the shaping of the head and beak. These swans make lovely party favors. They will add a graceful note to your "high tea" or any other special get-together. |
